One Year Wedding Anniversary!!!

Today we went to Gylli Beach Cafe, where we went for lunch a year ago with our nearest and dearest, after tying the knot at the Falmouth Registry Office. We had a lovely lunch (this time I actually ate my Nachos) and took some photo's(self-portraits this time!!) on the same beach we had our wedding photos taken, although today I think was colder and less sunny!

I feel so blissfully lucky and blessed to have met such an amazing man and am so happy that we chose to share our lives with each other. This past year has been filled with adventures, growth and changes neither of us imagined. I look forward to many, many more adventures and journeys with Steven. I feel extra lucky and excited to have our little baby growing inside me!

Baby scan 13,5 weeks

Waggle that bum in the air!
Our baby alien...look at that arm and hand!
Was doing headstand, but turned it around so you can see the profile...you can see spinal column too.
We went for my second scan on tuesday, here are the pics. Petal or Leander(Steven's insisted we have a boys a name too!) was doing all kind of tricks and didn't want to pose, except for sticking his or her bum up in the air!! We have a little wriggler! It was incredible though, you could see the hemispheres of the brain, the spinal cord and ribs, the feet and hands (not in detail) but you could see they were all there. I'm 13,5 weeks and baby is 7.8cm from head to bottom (or was on Tuesday). Its unique fingerprints are already in place. And when I poke my stomach gently and she feels it, Petal or Leander will apparantly start rooting -- that is, act as if she's searching for a nipple. I'm into the second trimester and feeling good, if occasionally panicky, but just starting to really feel pregnant...tummy's feeling a bit hard, although I haven't put on any weight yet.

Started my courses this week, I think the Anatomy, Physiology & holistic massage is going to be really good. The teacher seems lovely, and really enjoys what she does, which makes all the difference. The Web Design teacher...well that's another story, he is seriously grumpy, but I'm sure I'll learn enough to set up a website. I just found out that my yoga course is starting next month and am trying to decide whether to go ahead with it or not, I have been a little put off as it seems rather disorganised. Maybe I'll eat my words. Steven has started University and is loving it, as suspected.

We are pretty busy at the moment, as I'm working hard too, but it's all good! We are at the house where we're housesitting for another few weeks and then we will be moving to a two bedroomed flat where my employers were living, for 6 months. They're moving out as the main house is to be renovated(which is due to start in March) but she needed more space for the new baby, so they'll be renting nearby for the next 2 years or so. We seem to have landed with our bums in the butter, on a magically beautiful piece of land for very low rent...and it's turned out to be a better option than living in Truro, as it'd be pretty far me to travel and we'll have our own space & land to play on. We will have to move out before baby is due though, as they start renovating round about then.

Anyway, promised Steven I'd be quick so better run!

Love and blessings to all from the fairies and elves xxxx

Baby Scan!!

I went for my first scan today and was told that I am not quite 11 weeks so they couldn't do the full scan, but still took a photo of bump (nicknamed Petal). She/He is not a twin...thankfully.... and she was moving around loads and looked like she was waving at us...the white spot above her body is her hand. It's amazing how clearly you can see things in these early days. According to my calculations I should be further than 12 weeks, but could have it wrong, feels like I've been pregnant for ages already...have to go back in 3 weeks for full scan when the umbilical cord will be smaller (at the moments is a mass...which is normal for this stage) where they can see the division in the brain and see the hands and feet more clearly.
YAY!! We are both very excited!!!
